Pour Out Your Spirit From on High

Pour out your Spirit from on high;
Lord, your assembled servants bless;
graces and gifts to each supply,
and clothe your priests with righteousness.

All wisdom, zeal and faith impart,
and strength, with meekness from above,
to bear your people in our heart,
and love each soul with faithful love.

To watch and pray and never faint;
by day and night strict guard to keep;
to warn and cheer both sinner, saint,
nourish your lambs and feed your sheep.

Then, when our work is finished here,
in humble hope our charge resign:
when the good Shepherd shall appear,
in you we rest, O Love divine.
