Workshop I:
Evelyn will lead us through an imagery exploration that will reveal the power, poetry and surprise of prayer. We will examine awe in God imagery, love imagery and anger and despair imagery, not only in the Bible but in modern day poets. We will then be guided through exercises that inspire our own poetic voicse to emerge.
Workshop II: Why Not Become Fire?
We will explore the sacred significance of water, breath, clay and slime as we shape a small sacred vessel of clay to take home with us. We will end where we began, discussing the firing process of clay and exercising the firing process of our writing.
