Instructions for those already registered for the April 2 & 3, 2004 Gathering of Christian Poets. If you have not registered, go here.

April 2 (Friday night): "Poets' Bistro Cafe" begins at 6:30. We will be serving a full Italian meal, banquet style. We cannot make allowances for individual preferences or special diets. There are two separate visitor parking areas within 100 yards of the venue. Other parking is available on the street nearby.

April 3 (Saturday): Gathering begins at 9:30. We encourage you to arrive by 9am if possible. Underground parking is accessed from the east side of the Coast Terrace (facing Gateway Boulevard). After parking, you can make your way from the parkade to the Theatre via the elevators. There is plenty of FREE parking above ground on all sides of the Coast Terrace. We recommend that you park on the east side because the doors at the west side may be locked on Saturday.

If you enter the hotel through the main (east) doors, go past the registration desk on your left and straight through the dining area. The Theatre is directly ahead of you. Washrooms are just around the corner from the theatre.

Meals: We plan to provide coffee during the day, but meals are at your own expense. The Terrace restaurant is excellent and offers a variety of choices and prices. We hope you'll join us for meals.

Materials: Be sure to bring plenty of paper and pens. You might also wish to bring some of your poetry-in-progress. There is sometimes an opportunity during the day to share it with others, or to work on it yourself.

Readings: There will be two public reading sessions, one at 5:30pm and one at 7:15pm. Readings are by invitation only, but if you tell us in advance that you would like to read your work, we will try to accommodate you.

Econolodge: If you are staying at the Econolodge on Gateway Boulevard, you are about 2 blocks south of the Coast Terrace. If you stand outside the Econolodge office and look north, across the street, you will be able to see the Coast Terrace hotel sign. If the weather is good, it's a 7 or 8 minute (noisy) walk. We will be picking up some people at the Econolodge and driving them to the Coast Terrace, so if you do not have your own transportation, let us know ahead of time. We'll try to help.
