Stephanie Roberts

About this Poet:
Stephanie Roberts is a published essayist, and short story writer with a passion for poetry.

This poem is inspired by the death of Stephanie's mother-in-law in 2003.

The soul says more,
more love, more joy, more peace,
more rest, more...
This is the soul's song
the evidence of eternity
imprinted in our being;
in our hearts, our minds, our bodies.
She died.
Her suffering is over.
How my soul still sings
trapped now in mortality.
Her soul's singing is over
let the Hallelujah's begin.
