About this Christian Poet:
I am a journalist and a teacher of writing. A life-long lover of poetry, I have been writing verse since my teens. But I am a closet poet, sharing little of my work, mostly out of fear that no one will like it!
Spider-web Faith
Spider-web faith won't hold pain,
cannot ensnare loneliness,
fails to capture grief.
And should despair wander that silken road,
should sadness flutter against that silken rope,
spider-web faith will disintegrate,
its stray ends floating
down.
Spider-web faith always disappoints.
Spider-web faith always disappears,
But not before strangling hope.
