How to Feed the Lions
Rain drummed above
while below the animals
moaned and bellowed
and me like a caged lion
see-sick of all the animals
Lions roar doom
as Noah explicated doom
as humans filled the earth
with wickedness
to the Lord‚s grief
Will the waters recede
as the midden grows
and how shall we feed two lions
on nuts and grasses
and Guinea fowl eggs
The Lord wills it
but how on this floating altar
shall I feed a table of eight
roaring
