Bonnie Flaman

About this Christian Poet:
I live in Regina, Saskatchewan with my husband and four children who teach me more about love every day. I write to discover God's heart for me, and as a way of laying my heart bare before Him. My ongoing prayer is that my writing will minister to people who hurt. There is love deeper than our deepest wounds, and hope that goes beyond human hope.

Sometimes in darkness, the brightest hope shines.

When considering tombs

It's not so much the shape
but confinement
that's unsettling the lack
of windows conveys
a certain message
that padding and frills can't soften
a chill that starts inside
presses outward

The sun staggers into another day
only gravestones
having a history in these matters
tremble with anticipation
