About this Christian Poet:
I am an artist, calligrapher, writer, and poet, even when I can't make time from my life as a part-time college writing teacher and a Catholic Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet. "At Prayer" speaks to being seized by God with an incurable wound of love.
At Prayer
Penetration to the edge of Mystery
Burns the fingers of my heart
And I look for a hiding kind of fog,
A respite for my soul,
A cool wet mist.
But there's no healing for the
Quivering center of myself,
That freshly blessed sinew
Divinity has kissed.
