Modern Ego

But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Psalm 37:11

We are hopelessly persuaded
by constant stimulation
portraying a very inaccurate
view of perfection.

He, the Most High, arrived in the
city of Jerusalem

On a donkey.

He is exalted above any man in our history.

I gather the donkey, prior to
his palm carpet debut,
did not screen numerous
cell phone calls, ordering his
potential passengers to
talk to his agent.

Nor did he ask his make-up
artist to be absolutely certain
that he was thoroughly prepped
prior to His Master's triumphant entry.

I am certain that my Savior,
the Most Selfless,
would rather not have requested to
be set upon the
likes of a valiant stallion…

Instead, it was a donkey.

And the crowds unanimously cheered for
their Deliverer,
Hosanna in the Highest.

And if they didn't, the rocks would have.
