Enough
I kneel below blood-encrusted toes.
His raspy voice calls out,
"Father, forgive them."
I plead,
"Forgive me."
His final gasp sprays blood spittle.
That is all it takes.
Sprinkled with sacrificial blood,
I am forgiven,
For eternity.
It is done.
It is enough.
I kneel by empty grave clothes.
His life renewed,
Prophecy fulfilled.
My life transformed,
transfused
by Abba love,
Redeemer blood,
Spirit life.
For eternity.
It is enough.
