J. M. McIntosh

About this Christian Poet:
I am a mother and grandmother. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at the age of 35. Prior to my salvation, I wrote very few poems. But soon afterwards, the Lord began teaching me lessons through the poetry He leads me to write. It is my heart's desire to share the message of the Gospel, exalt Christ, and encourage believers through poetry.

You Were Thinking of Me

When You hung on the cross
You were thinking of me;
You saw my face
As You hung on that tree.

I can't understand it,
And yet I believe—
When You hung on the cross
You were thinking of me.

When You died on the cross
You were dying for me;
You paid sin's price
So that I could go free.

I don't understand it,
And yet I believe—
When You died on the cross
You were dying for me.
