Advent
Luke 2:19

To love a child,
thread of whispered hair,
strains nocturnal,
whippoorwill.
To pull at speck of answered prayer;
To ponder why a bottled moon at night;
To savor this a piece of matted earth.
Emboldened cry,
a promised land,
and you came out a golden fleck.
