Introducing Susan Plett
In August 2010 Susan Plett became Utmost Christian Writers' monthly columnist, replacing Violet Nesdoly. Susan will provide a column for the first of each month. We think you'll find Susan's experience and perspective inspirational and helpful.
Susan Plett lives in Calgary, Alberta, with her husband, two school-aged children, and a small, affectionate dog. She writes both poetry and prose, and has been published in a variety of print and online publications.
Her poetry and short stories have been published in StoryTeller, Time of Singing, The Penwood Review, utmostchristianwriters.com, MindFlights, Literary Mama, Prairie Messenger, Rhubarb, Literary Potpourri, and FreeFall. Her poetry collection, Nerve Endings, is currently seeking a publisher. She maintains two blogs: a personal one, (www.accidentalhousewife.blogspot.com), and one that is writing-specific (http://lemmejustwritethatdown.blogspot.com/).
Susan has taught workshops in poetry, writing exercises, and the editorial process in Edmonton, Calgary and Saskatoon. She is on the board at InScribe Christian Writers Fellowship, and has served on the editorial board of a Canadian literary magazine for several years.
When she’s not writing, she’s either knitting or reading or hanging out with her family.
